Happenings at Skylark - August 2021
More Skylark for Seniors Performances Coming Up in August
August is here with its last opportunities for summer fun and adventure. There will still be plenty of days to enjoy the sun, Minnesota’s lakes and rivers, and our splendid parks---and plenty of opportunities for Skylark Opera Theatre’s Skylark for Seniors performances.
August performances are scheduled at Pillars of Shorewood Landing in Shorewood, Towerlight in St. Louis Park and Pillars of White Bear Lake. Seniors will enjoy performances by sopranos Siena Forest, mezzo-sopranos Laurel Armstrong, Christina Christensen and KrisAnne Weiss, tenor Brian Wallin, baritone Justin Spenner, and bass-baritone Luke Williams. Skylark for Senior’s music director and accompanist is Carson Rose Schneider. Andrew Fleser also will serve as an accompanist.
Major Funding from UCare to Support Fall Skylark For Seniors Performances
We are thrilled to announce that UCare has provided generous support for our Skylark for Seniors programming, allowing us to schedule more performances at senior residences throughout the Fall! The folks at UCare know that music heals, uplifts, and fosters community, essential needs now as our country emerges from this long intermission of COVID. It has been our privilege to share the vocal talents of our performers with senior audiences and we extend our sincere thanks to UCare for their support and community commitment.
