Skylark Opera Theatre is proud to bring Amahl and the Night Visitors back to the Andy Boss Thrust Stage at Park Square Theatre in St. Paul. There will be a total of nine performances on December 3&4; 10&11; and 17&18. Make Gian Carlo Menotti’s magical story part of your holiday entertainment plans. This year’s production is under the stage direction of Jeffrey Madison and the music direction of Carson Rose Schneider and a returning cast that delivered a “breathtaking” and “powerful” performance last year, including Vicki Fingalson as the Mother and twins Henry and Oscar Helle-Morrissey alternating in the title role. Visit skylark.booktix.com to purchase your tickets.

Support Skylark Opera Theatre on Thursday, November 17

The official Give to the Max Day is Thursday, November 17th, but early giving has already started for Minnesota's annual giving event and Skylark is a part of it! You will find us at www.givemn.org/organization/Skylark-Opera. Did you know that two-thirds of the cost of a Skylark Opera Theatre production is off-set by grants and donors? Skylark’s productions of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Infinite Opera’s BESSE, wouldn’t have happened without your support. In the current economic environment costs for quality productions are increasing rapidly, but we remain committed to presenting immersive, engaging opera and music theater productions that showcase local talent from the Twin Cities area. Skylark Opera Theatre is a 501c3 non-profit, so your Give to the Max donation is tax deductible, too!

Put Your Vote to Work Supporting the Arts in Minnesota

The mid-term elections are in four days. We need state and federal legislators who understand the importance of performing arts organizations like Skylark Opera Theatre to communities. Your vote on November 8th is important not only to the success of Skylark Opera but to other performing arts organizations throughout Minnesota. To learn more about the efforts to garner legislative support, visit MCA’s website.

Besse and Beer Delight Oktoberfest Guests

Thanks to the supporters who joined Skylark at Oktoberfest last month! The capacity crowd savored Fat Pants Brewing Co.'s delicious brews and enjoyed excerpts from Besse in its U.S. premiere. Even our friendly young bartender marveled: "I thought the glasses would break when they hit some of those notes!"
