Skylark for Seniors Begins its Fourth Year

Our popular Skylark for Seniors outreach program continues with this year’s first performance in April, bringing hour-long concerts to senior residences throughout the Twin Cities. We know that what Dionne Warwick says is true, “Music is the medicine that cures everything.” Over the past three years, Skylark has been honored to bring music to more than 1500 seniors. Our thanks to the many Skylark performers, under the music direction of Carson Rose Schneider, who share their talents with our senior audiences.

Marry Me A Little Opens in June

Skylark Opera will present Stephen Sondheim’s Marry Me a Little at The Crane Theater in northeast Minneapolis, opening on June 20 with four additional performances June 21-23rd. Craig Lucas and Norman Rene framed Sondheim’s brilliant music in a touching story about two single people in New York who find themselves alone on a Saturday night. Both yearn for love, never knowing that they are the answer to each other’s lonely dreams. You’ll be hearing more about Skylark’s production in the upcoming weeks, but for now mark your calendars. You won’t want to miss the best summer entertainment in the Twin Cities! Get tickets here.
